Brother Mark Griffin was this evening Installed in the Chair of King Solomon by W Bro Len Freeman, Immediate Past Master, in front of 72 brethren of Abbey Lodge and their guests and in the presence of Very Worshipful Brother Michael Hooton, Provincial Grand Master of Berkshire.
Brother Hooton presented awards to W Bro David Rendall for reaching 70 years in Masonry and to W Bro Johnson Patterson for reaching 50 years in Masonry. Both brethren had very ably participated in the Installation earlier in the evening. In Brother Rendall's case by giving an explanation of the Centenary Jewel, and in Brother Patterson's case by giving the extended explanation of the Second Degree working tools.
